Through our Sponsor a Scholarship in Honor of a Loved One initiative, donors have the opportunity to support a young man of color pursuing higher education while honoring someone special.
Sponsor a Partial Scholarship — $500
Sponsor a Half Scholarship — $750
Sponsor a Full Scholarship — $1,500

How Your Sponsorship Helps
Each year, JLD Community Solutions awards scholarships to young men of color who are working to continue their education, overcome barriers, and build a brighter future. Many of the students we serve are first-generation college students, and the cost of higher education can be one of the greatest obstacles they face.
Your sponsorship helps reduce that burden and reminds each recipient that someone in the community believes in them.
Donors may choose to sponsor:
$500 — Partial Scholarship Sponsor
Help provide meaningful financial support toward a student’s educational journey.
$750 — Half Scholarship Sponsor
Cover half of a scholarship award and make a lasting investment in a student’s future.
$1,500 — Full Scholarship Sponsor
Fully sponsor one scholarship award for a deserving student.
Special Recognition for Full Scholarship Sponsors
Donors who sponsor a full $1,500 scholarship will be invited to join JLD Community Solutions at the Lexington Senior High School Senior Assembly to help present the scholarship award to a recipient.
This special moment allows sponsors to see the impact of their gift firsthand and take part in celebrating a student’s next chapter.
