Founder & President, JLD Community Solutions

Celebrating Women's History Month

Angela McDuffie

In honor of Women's History Month, JLD Community Solutions wishes to acknowledge Angela McDuffie, the Founder & President of our organization, for her remarkable dedication and service to the City of Lexington, NC.

Angela was appointed in 2006 to serve on the City of Lexington Human Relations Commissions. She served two terms and was appointed in 2011 by the Lexington City Council to serve on the Lexington City School Board. During her time of service, five years later, the Lexington City School Board changed from being an appointed board to being an elected board.

Angela won the first election and became one of the first to serve on the first elected school board for Lexington City Schools. She also won the second election and has served for the past 13 years. She is the longest serving school board member for Lexington City Schools and the first African American who has the longest service on the Lexington City School Board.

Angela continues to be a leader of integrity, a change maker, and advocate to help create a better future for our schools, our children and our community.

We honor Angela and all the dedicated women who are tirelessly working to create positive change and act as catalysts for progress within their communities.
